The first step towards real independence is having a job and making your own money. Getting a Job provides detailed information about what it takes to apply for and get a job. This is a Google Slides Product. Students will learn how to conduct a job search using websites, employment agencies, newspaper ads, and networking. There are step-by-step instructions about how to apply for a job. Including how to write a cover letter and resume, how to fill out a job application, and prepare for a job interview. The second part of this book follows five young adults on their journey to get a job. Students will get familiar with how to read and understand job postings. They will learn about writing different kinds of cover letters and resumes and how to prepare for a job interview. And then how to evaluate a job offer.
